Kindred Studios still trading with a limited offering

Dear Kindred Community,

We are continuing to closely monitor the emerging situation regarding COVID-19 coronavirus. The health, safety and wellbeing of our patrons, staff and the wider community remains our number one priority.

As you are likely aware, the Federal Government on Sunday announced strict new measures to limit the number of people who are permitted to assemble in one place. These restrictions impact our service offerings in addition to the number of people who can legally use our rooms.

Kindred Studios remains open and is accepting bookings for band rehearsals, co-working, corporate meetings and our film and photography studio – provided patrons abide by all notices and regulations. Please observe social distancing by staying at least 1.5 metres apart at all times whilst in our venue. Our licensed bandroom is now closed and we have set up a temporary reception in rehearsal room 6.

When booking a room, please inform us of how many people will be attending so that we can allocate an appropriate room which abides by the new regulations.

Kindred Cafe remains open for takeaway orders only.

We are continuing to provide hand sanitiser and antibacterial hand wash for your use around the venue. We are also continuing to monitor staff and patrons for sickness. As a reminder, if we see a person on site who appears unwell, we will ask that person to leave immediately.

We will continue to monitor and assess the situation and we will provide further updates in due course.

Kind regards,
Kindred Studios

Important notice from Kindred Studios regarding COVID-19 (March 17, 2020)

Important notice regarding COVID-19

Dear Kindred Community,

We have been closely monitoring the emerging situation regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19) and we’re aware that many of you are uncertain about ongoing continuity, planned activities and events scheduled in the venue.

To date we had no confirmed cases of COVID-19 at Kindred Studios.

We are aware that the situation is fluid and may change, but at this time we are maintaining business operations, while taking all government and relevant authorities’ advice on implementing active measures to minimise risk and maintain safety.

We are reviewing all of our events and activities on a case-by-case basis, in line with national guidelines, and will respond based on individual circumstances.

Within the venue, we are actively providing hand sanitiser and antibacterial hand wash, increasing cleaning, limiting the number of attendees at larger events, cancelling events if deemed appropriate, providing public health advice, and monitoring staff and patrons for sickness.

We are also encouraging social distancing techniques, as recommended by authorities, within the venue.

If we see a person on site who appears unwell, we will immediately ask that person to leave.

If a person attends Kindred and reports being in the categories listed below, we will immediately contact the relevant authorities as per the guidelines:

  • The person is a confirmed case of COVID-19.
  • The person is a close contact of a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the past 14 days.

‘Close contact’ is defined as someone who has spent 15 minutes of face to face contact with a confirmed case or shared a close space with someone for more than two hours with a confirmed case.

As a general precaution, we ask that if you feel unwell in any way, please do not visit the venue.

We will continue to assess the situation daily and respond to any direction or advice provided by relevant authorities to the best of our ability. We will provide regular updates regarding our activities going forward.

Updates will be available via our email mailing list, social media, website and within the venue on our public screens.

We hope that you stay safe and healthy. We will be working hard to provide ongoing continuity and support for the Kindred community of users through this difficult time.

Kind regards,
Kindred Studios
