“GREASE IS THE WORD”
Playback Productions is proud to open AUDITIONS for their JULY production of GREASE JR

Grease is the rocking musical that follows Rydell High’s spirited class of ’59’ in their senior year of high school. It salutes the gum-chewing, hot rod-loving (T-Birds) and their wise-cracking, bobby sox and pedal pushing girls (The Pink Ladies) as the gang deals with living a teenage life in the 1950’s.

Watch as they sing and dance their way through the nostalgic rock’n’roll era, in a show which is of the most popular and most performed musicals in the world!

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS

*All auditionees must register their Audition online at www.playbackproductions.org.au (CLICK LINK ABOVE)

*All auditionees must provide a non-returnable headshot and a Resume/CV (if you have one)

*All auditionees must prepare 2 contrasting songs.

*Backing tracks CAN be used. Note: No A cappella. Music is to be supplied on either a USB and CD only.

*NOTE: No songs from the show are permitted. Please note that due to time restrictions, you may not be asked to sing the entire song/s. So please pick an appropriate starting point…basically show off!

*Consider which part/s you would like to play before your audition (see character descriptions below) and PREPARE. We want to see full characterisation and commitment in your audition.

*If you are unfamiliar with the story, we advise that you watch the film. It’s by far the quickest way to get a feel for the characters and story.

*You may be invited to attend a Dance Audition on Sunday 19th March. Please keep it free.

We hope to see you there !
